Sydney Butler
My name is Sydney Butler, and I’m a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at LSU. I was drawn to the field of mental health because I’ve always been passionate about holding space for others especially those who feel unseen, unheard, or misunderstood.
I’m deeply committed to supporting Black and Brown communities, young adults, and individuals navigating trauma, identity development, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, cultural humility, and collaboration. I believe that healing isn’t about being “fixed” it’s about being fully seen and supported as you grow into the version of yourself you’re meant to be.
Clients can expect a space where they are welcomed without judgment, encouraged to explore their truth, and empowered to take ownership of their healing journey. One of my favorite mantras is: “You don’t have to shrink to be seen.”
Outside of my work, I enjoy cooking, discovering new music, and recharging with a good docuseries or journaling after a long day.
